Community Involvement

Woodbourne has a strong culture of giving back to the community through direct financial contributions, as well as providing locally grown food to local community food banks. Woodbourne allows each employee to select a charity to which the company will donate. We are very pleased that our employees have been sharing their good fortune with those in need by giving to the following charities last year:

Since 2008, Woodbourne has been supporting Clarksburg’s Red Wiggler Community Farm for the “Farm to Group Home” program. This program provided county group home residents with 602 pounds of fresh produce in 2007. Woody Woodruff, the farm’s director, began the program in June 2007 with a county grant so the farm could provide fresh vegetables to the developmentally disabled population it was employing. When we learned that the it would run out of funding in June 2008 we stepped up and donated money so the program can continue running throughout 2008 and have continued providing financial support to the program every year thereafter.

If you would like to be considered by our employees for a donation this year, please send an email to charity@woodbourne.com.
