HealthBizNow, Inc., a healthcare technology consulting start-up, announced today that it had acquired FindaResident.com, a service that assists medical students and current residents seeking residencies, as well as program directors and hospitals seeking to fill open residency positions.
"This is the first of several acquisitions for HealthBizNow in the dot com health care market. Upgrading and growing this service will provide us with a foundation for other business opportunities in the last two quarters of 2000", said Craig Overpeck, Vice President of HealthBizNow.
HealthBizNow plans to develop a dynamic, data-driven version of the FindaResident site, and hopes to attract a larger share of the country's 32,000 medical students seeking residencies, and 7,000 programs seeking residents each year.
