Developed by Woodbourne Solutions and HealthBizNow, MDLinx is a network of several dozen professional Web sites for physicians and other healthcare professionals. Each site within the network focuses solely on one medical specialty, and provides daily updates of all journal and medical news articles in that specialty (and its 10-15 subspecialties).

Medical professionals can register on the site to use more advanced functionality, such as complete journal or text searching, article storage, and wireless retrieval of current headlines (Users with WAP-enabled devices can access http://wap.mdlinx.com for a display of the top 10 stories for each medical specialty with drill-down and pagination). Those who are too busy to come to the site can elect to receive one of the 500 different email newsletter topics.

We designed an administrative program to collect the articles for editing, create the html and text emails, take care of the advertisements, and handle the streaming output. The administrator can handle staff functions here and generate reports as needed.
