The Geological Society of America (GSA) is a nonprofit scientific organization whose mission includes advancing the geosciences, enhancing the professional growth of its members, and promoting the geosciences in the service of humankind.

The Society has published continuously since 1890, and presently publishes several journals monthly in response to the need for rapid publication of short, topical scientific articles. Today it features online journals such as GSA Today^TM, GSA Bulletin^TM, and Geology^TM, which are also available on Compact Disc.
